In honor of our beloved alumni who have graduated to be with the Lord, we cherish the impact they have made in education, ministry, politics, and within their families and ours. Their lives have indelible footprints on this earth, and we will forever remember the moments we shared with these remarkable individuals from Promise Christian University. Their legacy continues to inspire us, us of the greatness they brought to community. We celebrate their remarkable journeys and the profound influence they had on all of us.

Dr. Nicholas Benson

Dr. Nicholas Benson served on the Board of Directors and as a Faculty Member and former Academic Dean since 2007.  He was professor of Church History.  He and his wife, Eva Meyers were wonderful supporters of Promise Christian University.

Evangelist 

 Dr. Miguel Escobar

Dr. Miguel was a worldwide international evangelist especially to the Spanish speaking nations.  His powerful message of healing and the power of the Holy Spirit changed thousands of lives!   He became an Alumni of Promise Christian University and traveled to the Asian Nations with other Alumni Members.  His awesome presence and message will always be remember!

Dr. Forrest Turpen

He and his wife, Judy, headed his wonderful organization for over 20 years.  I was established to be a source of encouragement to Christian Teachers in public School.  Today, CEAI is well know all over the USA.  He initiated and supported "See You at the Pole," where teachers and students can gather in September to pray and give thanks to God.  He also was a member of our Advisory Board.

Dr. Adoracion "Dory" Villanueva

Dr. Dory and her husband Brother Eddie were advisory Board members from 2002 until the Lord called her home.  She was great speaker, teacher, administrator, wife, mom and grandmother and also was involved in the media, JIL College as President.
She is missed by Promise Christian University and the many thousands of JIL Members around the world

Dr. David Truax

Everyone who came to PCU from around 2012 through 2023 remembers Dr. David who served as Chaplain of the Board for many years.  He was a talented electrician and a gifted student of the Bible.  He also served as a faculty member for 2 short years!  We miss Dr. David very much.  He was such an encouragement to the President and his wife for over 20 years.

Dr. George Otis

Dr. Mike met Dr. Otis in 2006 at the 100th Anniversary of Azusa Street and became good friends.  Dr. Otis served a short time on the Board of Advisors for Promise Christian University until the Lord Called him home.  He was a great encouragement to Dr. Adelle and her project Magnetrain.

Dr. Joseph Eddings

When Dr. Eddings first came to Promise Christian University in 2002, we did not realized it would be a life long friendship.  He opened doors for Promise teach and train students from 3 churches.  He launched a career as a Bible teacher in the east coast state of Georgia.  He was an evangelist every wheres he went.  A great man of God who even knew President Jimmy Carter/

Dr. Curtis "Earthquake" Kelley

Dr. Kelley was an international speaker who was a frequent guest on Christian TV to share his story of his and deliverance from voodoo and sorcery and conversion to Jesus Christ.  He is a former Heavy weight Boxer whose punch felt like an earthquake.  He is alive and well in Heaven!
